Why does Magic Trackpad interferes with Magic Mouse?

Swiping sideways with my Magic Mouse tends to get stuck until I give the Magic Trackpad a swipe. After that, it works for a bit, but then the Magic Mouse stops responding again, requiring another swipe on the Trackpad to get it going. I've reset both devices, but this issue occurs quite frequently. Is it possible that the Bluetooth connection of one interferes with the other?

I don’t always need the Magic Mouse, but perhaps it’s just a matter of habit. I could manage with just the Magic Trackpad, but I find the glass surface a bit too chilly for my liking. I've even stuck some transparent plastic over it to make it feel less cold. Perhaps I should consider using some silicone finger cones instead?

Yeah, there is a chance that they will interfere, therefore I have the Magic Mouse always turned off when using the trackpad, with the switch on the back. And I switch it on (and the trackpad off) when I want to use the Magic Mouse

In that case, I must make the decision to part with one of the devices. The trackpad offers more gestures than the mouse. I also need to find a way to warm up the glass surface of the trackpad. Any ideas?
