Incorrect letters on iPad keyboard

Letters, such as “a, w, and m” are all in the wrong place. None of the suggestions fix it. It’s maddening.

Your keyboard is set to French. Go to settings / general / keyboard / keyboards and use the edit button to remove French.

I stumbled on a fix. I tapped the world icon and it changed it back to normal. Thanks for the help.

I recommend you follow my instructions to remove the french keyboard to avoid the same thing happing again by accident, which is pretty easy.
