Photos appear on wife’s iPhone
My wife and I have different Apple accounts and yet my iPhone photos appearing on her iphone. How and why, plus how can we have independent iPhoto collections?

Could we check a few things?
Your iPhones are signed into different Apple Accounts for Photos, correct?
Do you have a Shared Library enabled and is your wife subscribed to it?
Do you have auto-add-to-Shared-Library enabled?
Three "yes" answers would explain what you are seeing. Turning off auto-add would be a step toward separate collections. Turning off the Shared Library connection at either end would be a stronger one.
