Removing an old trusted device from Apple Account (Media Subscription only), blocked by Stolen Device Protection
I have a seperate Apple Account for Media Subscriptions (formally the old iTunes purchases) and I while doing some housekeeping discovered that an old laptop that I had traded in years ago was still listed as a trusted device. However, I can't remove the device because Stolen Device Protection is enabled and I'm directed to make changes from a trusted device. If I go to System Settings> Apple Account> Media & Purchases, I can click "Manage" for the account, but it directs me to go to the web to make changes, which directs me to a trusted device to make changes because Stolen Device Protection is enabled.
I'm not sure if "Stolen Device Protection is enabled" is referring to the device I'm using to access my Apple Account on the web or the device I'm trying to remove. Each of my devices that I've tried does have SDP enabled. The old laptop was traded in years before SDP was an option.
