Unable to download my data via privacy.apple.com, it logs me out before the download ends

I requested a copy of my data through privacy.apple.com. The data is ready for download but I cannot download it as some of these files are quite large (Photos, iCloud Drive) and the portal logs me out after a few minutes due to inactivity. I even once stayed in front of the computer moving the mouse cursor so it wouldn't log me out and when I clicked on the window to extend the session, it then 404'ed, so it seems the portal makes it really hard to download this data. Also the problem is that once I'm logged out, I have to start all over again as it also cancels the download, which means I'm never able to download the files due to their large size, not even one by one.

Is there a "proper" way to download these files? I want to think my use case is fairly common but I can't seem to find the answer. Thanks in advance!
