Light flashes every time a message comes in. How do I turn it off?

You’ve enabled an Accessibility setting. Please follow this path,

iPhone > Settings > Accessibility > Hearing > Audio & Visual > scroll down > LED Flash for Alerts > off, if it is off, momentarily switch on and then off again
