IOS 18.1.1 Randomly Restarts

Recently I updated to the newest version: IOS 18.1.1 on my iPhone SE (2nd gen). After downloading it I noticed a significant drop in performance and other bugs (ex: maps). The most important part of all of this is it’s frequent but random restarts occurring every couple minutes or so. The battery health is above 80% so I don’t believe it’s a battery issue. I have a feeling it’s something to do with the new update (IOS 18.1.1). Can I get some assistance please?

Your first step would be a "forced" restart. This is not the same as just turning off the device and turning it back on.

To force restart an iPhone SE 2nd generation, you can:

  1. Press and quickly release the volume up button
  2. Press and quickly release the volume down button
  3. Press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears

Number three is very important. When I told my wife, she wouldn't hold the button for the for the logo until I showed her what I meant.
