Mac Pro 12.1 restarted with factory defaults but not possible to log in Apple ID

I want to give new life to my old Mac Pro v. 12,1 (i7, 16GB).

I have cleaned it to factory settings and reinstalled the system.

The updates of the system go only up to 10.10.5.

With that system I cannot even log in to my apple account since it requires adding a code from another device and the old system does not ask for a code.

What can I do to use this computer? It has still very good hardware. Please help.

If I'm not mistaken, you actually have a MacBook Pro. Very different animal than a Mac Pro.

The MacBook Pro 12,1 would be a 13-inch early 2015 model.

That computer can run macOS 10.10.2 Yosemite up to and including macOS 12 Monterey.

Not sure why you can't login to your Apple Account, but if you have access to another Mac that can run macOS 12, you could use that to create a bootable USB installer for the MacBook that can upgrade the OS to Monterey.
