Missing downloads in Chrome on Mac

Hi there! I can't find any of my downloads when I try to look for them by name. I can see the file if I scroll, but the magnifying glass won't take me to the file I need. It happens with my email and social media. I'm on chrome. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thank you!

Just recently, I have started to experience an issue downloading simple files (PDF's) from my email. If I re-start the computer, it downloads just fine. Open files from Safari download folder After having updated my Mac mini M2 from Ventura to 14.7.2, Safari 18.2. will not open files from its download folder within Safari. I am getting a error message that this pdf/zip/other file can not be opened by Safari, as there is no program available to open this file. In Finder though, the files can be opened normally. Anyone having a idea what is going on here?
