Why aren't my AirPods showing up in Bluetooth settings?

Every time I open up my AirPods case, like usual they connect to my iphone, but recently in the past week i’ve noticed they connect, but when I go into settings to make them noise canceling or just change the settings of the AirPods in general, it doesn't even show up. Typically I see a airpods popup to change the settings but its not there, dispite that the bluetooth control center says im connected to my airpod pros. I also go into bluetooth and they aren’t even showing up. Ive tried to reconnect my airpods but I cant forget them because they dont even appear even though there connecting to my phone? its so strange. I believe this started happening because I wanted to disconnect my airpods so I went in bluetooth and tapped on them so they would disconnect so I could connect my other headphones. Ever since then they connect for some reason but dont show up at all. How do I fix this? Id like to get my noise canceling options back.

Go to settings>are your AirPods showed at the top of your settings list? If so, press there to go in to the AirPods settings

If this is not working your might want to reset your AirPods:

  1. Put your AirPods in their charging case, close the lid and wait 30 seconds.
  2. On an iPhone or iPad that's paired with your AirPods, go to Settings > Bluetooth:
    • If your AirPods appear in the My Devices list, tap the More Info button next to your AirPods, tap Forget This Device, then tap again to confirm.
    • If your AirPods don't appear in the list, continue to the next step.
  1. Open the lid of your charging case.
  2. Depending on which AirPods you have, press the setup button on the back of your case or tap the front of the case:

AirPods 1, AirPods 2, AirPods 3 or AirPods Pro

Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds, until the status light on the front of the case flashes amber, then white. You can now reconnect your AirPods.

If the status light still doesn't flash white, learn what to do.
