Why won't apple TV+ allow streaming on my projector?

I want to know why apple TV+ won't allow streaming on my projector? Why is the covert DRM necessary?

If it's to sell more apple TV boxes... well, I don't have the physical space to physically put one of those on my wall, and besides I simply DO NOT WANT that device.

Other streaming apps work fine via Airplay or HDMI.

If there's a hack to let me watch the subscriptions I am already paying for on the TV that I already own, I will continue to subscribe.... otherwise, I don't have any reason to continue with the subscription if I can't stream it to my TV.

So - HELP PLEASE - I would like to stream from an iPhone to a Laser brand projector. Is there a setting or workaround that I don't know about?

Or did you think ‘AirPlay’ from iPhone apps that combine AirPlay and Chromecast in one combined interface?

Apple’s own apps do not support Chromecast or other non-AirPlay local streaming protocols.

  • The Apple TV box seems like a good device to get Apple TV app content and other app content to your projector. No streaming from iPhone needed. Some companies sell wall mount brackets for it [2] [3], so it doesn’t have to fit on a nearby shelf per se.
  • Select third party HDMI streaming devices also support the Apple TV app. No streaming from iPhone needed.
  • Select projectors may support smart apps, and select ones could support the Apple TV app that way. No streaming from iPhone needed.

If other commercial streaming video apps work, then the issue is not HDCP or DRM. I’m suspecting no true AirPlay compatibility.
