Copy Location for Photos

Photos question. I want to assign a location to several photos. However, when I go to Image>Location>...the only options I have are to "hide location" or "revert to original location". No "copy location". What am I missing? is the software just outdated? Running Mac Big Sur 11.7.1. (I know. New Macbook is arriving today.)

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 11.7

macOS 15 Sequoia is the first system, where you can copy the location using the Image > Location menu, see: Add titles, captions and more to photos and videos on Mac – Apple Support (UK)

In older system versions you could copy the location from the Info panel and paste it into the info. But it has not been very precise, because it would copy the name of a location, not the exact coordinates.

You could try to export the photo with the location as a JPEG, open it in Preview, then open the Inspector in Preview (from the Tools menu), then copy the GPS coordinates and paste them into the location field in the Info of the photos where you want to apply them. You can select several photos at once to paste the location to the photos.
