It its not an Apple app, but is a 3rd party app, it usually means the app developer hasn't updated their app to be compatible with iOS 18. First see if there is an update for their app. Second, if you haven't already done so, the current iOS version is 18.1.1, so make sure you have updated your iPhone to that. And if the app still can't rotate, contact the App Developer of the app as it's up to them to code rotation appropriately. Apple can't do anything with the code in any app they don't own.

i would certainly say you made some non backward compatible change that is affecting a lot of apps. Google translate, netflix are definitely suffering. Netflix only goes in one landscape mode, not on the other one, same with google translate. Chrome doesnt auto rotate too.

I made no such changes. You must think I work for Apple? No one on this user to user only works for Apple. I just tried every app you referred to in your erroneous post and they rotate just fine on my iPhone running iOS 18.1.1.

If your apps aren't rotating, you likely have orientation lock on. From the top right hand side of your iPhone, swipe down to bring up Control Center. Look for an icon with a lock in it and if it is red, tap it to unlock Screen Rotation.

Ah, sorry about that.

I know about that screen rotation lock option, i had it turned off always.

For landscape only one side works, the other landscape sode doesnt. It used to auto rotate on both landscape when turned like that.

anyways, not a complain against you. Definitely somethjng not working properly there

No worries. You likely have a hardware issue with your phone. Time to schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar for evaluation and options.
