When is Apple going to fix the IOS in update 18.1 that stops Apple CarPlay and iPhone to connect? How soon can we expect an update. Meanwhile we can no longer use a capability we once enjoyed before the update. Please fix it

This is not a universally “broken” issue. All CarPlay users (including myself and the 4 vehicles in my household that all have CarPlay) have not experienced any issue. Report the problem to Apple. If the issue truly is connected to iOS update affecting some users they will eventually release an update. No one here can tell you when. You should also check user forums for your vehicle (assuming this is the OEM head unit in the car) to see if others are experiencing the same issues or if they were able to resolve the issues on their end or via something with the car manufacturer (sometimes that can mean a firmware update for the radio or software update for the infotainment system).

I have a problem connecting to CarPlay since updating to 18.1.1. My car is a Mercedes which I’ve had from new in March and Apple CarPlay was working fine, until I updated the latest software. It does not work at all now wireless. I have taken it to Mercedes and they confirm it is an Apple issue, although Apple customer support could not help to rectify.
