My iMac running Sonoma wont recognize MP3 CDs
I'm unable to get my Imac to recognize Mp3 formated music cds from an external drive. How can I rectify this? Do I need to use a windows machine?

It doesn't recognize them as audio CDs, which they are not, or it doesn't recognize them as data discs, which they are? Music won't import from them, but you should be able to use Finder to copy and paste the files from the disc into the Automatically Add to Music folder in your library's media folder in order to add them to your library.

huh, I have the exact opposite problem, I can't add mp3s on my local disk via the import function, but if I create a data cd with mp3 files on it, it will import. this is in sequoia, however.
