Microsoft office apps do not working on my iMac with the macOS Monterey 12.7.6, which is the latest version for Monterey. Microsoft office supports only macOS version 13 or later. But, Apple doesn't allow macOS Monterey to that higher version 13 or later. Does anyone know how to upgrade iMac Monterey to the macOS version 13 or later? Why does Apple not give latest version for iMac Monterey?

a try it reads and writes ms office files just fine
I run Office 2019 on my Mac using Monterey and no issues.
Just realize that attempting to open a Word document that has equations in it will not show that equation in LibreOffice Writer because Microsoft stores the equation internally as a .emf file which is a PDF. LO cannot extract the equation from that PDF, so it inserts an empty picture box where the equation was in the Word document.
