Charged for free trial subscription on App Store.

My daughter signed up for a free trial without my knowledge. I canceled it right away but was charged 7.99 for a week subscription. Not only was I not aware she was doing this but when I found out, I cancelled it right away. I read about the app & it said it does offer a free trial. Why am I being charged & what can I do? Now it’s not allowing to download any free apps, etc.

Click here If you need to change or update your Apple Account payment method - Apple Support- and follow the instructions to update your payment method.


There's probably an unpaid balance on the account due to the subscription. In order to resolve your account being suspended the balance must be paid and you will be able to resume content downloads etc...


Unpaid balances are automatically withdrawn with an updated payment method.


From there you can then request a refund by signing into your Apple account at https://reportaproblem.apple.com/?s=6
