How to recover lost Files on my iPad?

I lost quite a few files in my file folders on my iPad for no reasons. I didn't use iCloud drive for these files and I still have plenty of storage left on my iPad. This is the second time that happened. How can I get my files back?

Have you checked the Recently Deleted folder - accessed from the Files App sidebar? Files listed in the Recently Deleted folder can be recovered.

If the missing files are not found within the Recently Deleted folder, your missing files will need to be restored from your iCloud or iTunes Backup:

If you don't have a backup, your missing files may have been irretrievably lost.
