Error showing 'Apple ID not Active'

Hi Guys,

My friend's iPhone XR suddenly started showing 'Apple ID not Active' We have tried to login on a MacBook and PC but to no avail. We also tried to reset password. We through some prompts that asked for phone number and we added. After this prompt we saw a message that said the account for being reviewed and it could take a day. It's been more than a week and no email or any form of communication has been passed.

Please take note that we do not have an authorized Apple Store in Nigeria where we are. How can we fix this issue?

Choose your country or region - Official Apple Support

Select your country (if you do not see your country, also look for "other" regions; e.g., "Other Africa"), then "Choose a product". Click the "show" item under each category for more selections. If you don't see one that handles your issue then keep experimenting with selections until you reach one that gets you a chat session or a telephone call and get the representative to redirect you.

The people on this forum are users like yourself and all we can do is refer you to Apple for this, or you simply wait. Have you checked your spam email folder? Did you keep your contact methods up to date? Apple will simply try the ones you have set.

Yes I have checked my spam. I have done everything know how to and still not gotten any mail from apple support. I need every help I can get. This has lingered too long. Like I wrote earlier, Nigeria isn't one of the countries under the apple support link you shared. I have tried to call the South African Support from the link and the call didn't go through.
