Magic Mouse 2 scroll not working

Hi, I got new Apple magic mouse 2. Its scroll function isn't working, neither is the other gestures. I am hoping someone will help me out to solve this issue. Or I may send it back.

I got connected with bluetooth on my MacBook Air 2017. All It does is click left and right and cursor move around.

Why is my Magic Mouse so erratic on my iMac? I am using an Apple bluetooth magic mouse on a 20,1 iMac running Sequoia 15.0.1. When I use the mouse it is very erratic and nearly impossible to land the cursor on a specific spot. I have gone to settings and adjusted the mouse speed down to the lowest position. This has helped a very small amount and I now need to move the mouse nearly two feet on my desktop to move the cursor the with of a letter sized page. In general it appears that the magic mouse is not compatible with my iMac. Are there any solutions other than going out and purchasing a new mouse? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Magic Mouse is not scrolling on MacBook Air 13" running macOS Sonoma 14.7 Followed all the suggestions on site - still will not scroll. I have a MacBook Air from 2018/2019 but was told the mouse is compatible. Is there anything I can do? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Hi Thanks to help me out.

My MacBook does recognise a Magic Mouse is connected through Bluetooth but it function only an ordinary mouse I.e. no gesture features.

Apparently Apple doesn’t provide online support on accessories. (Magic Mouse)

Try to go to settings and click on the “mouse and trackpad” option and see if it recognizes that it is a Magic Mouse

then you can try to find a option that makes the scroll wheel work
