Is there a way to toggle Sound Check on and off quickly?

The setting is quite buried in current iOS Settings, so takes many "clicks" to reach and toggle.

Here's a step-by-step guide to create a shortcut to quickly toggle the Sound Check setting in the Music app:

  1. Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap the "+" button at the top right to create a new shortcut.
  3. Tap "Add Action".
  4. In the search bar, type "URL" and select the "URL" action.
  5. In the URL field, enter: prefs:root=MUSIC&path=com.apple.Music:SoundCheck
  6. Tap the "+" button again to add another action.
  7. Search for "Open URLs" and select it.
  8. Tap "Next" at the top right.
  9. Give your shortcut a name, like "Toggle Sound Check".
  10. Tap "Done".

You can add your shortcut to Control Center. Here’s how:

  1. Open the Control Center by dragging down from the upper right corner of your display.
  2. Click "Add a Control"
  3. Search for "Shortcuts"
  4. Click on "Shortcut"
  5. In the "Quickly run one of your shortcuts" menu, click the "Choose" hyperlink.
  6. Select your newly-created shortcut.
  7. Click outside the active dialogue to return to editing the Control Center.
  8. Return to normal Control Center by clicking outside of the buttons.
  9. Test your new button - it should take you directly to the Music settings in the Settings app.
