Help me Turn off my Two-Way Authentication
I just made a new apple id and I want to turn off the two way authentication because of my experiences of my past accounts. Can I turn it off? How do I turn it off? Help!
iPad, iPadOS 17

Actually with a new account you can't turn it off at all. It's only with old accounts that you can turn it off up to 2 weeks after you turned it on. By "old" I mean any accounts that pre-date when 2FA was introduced with Apple (several years ago).
You may wish to read Two-factor authentication for Apple Account - Apple Support
for what Apple actually says. Your description is not quite correct.

I am in my 6th Gen Ipad (incase this helps). My account isn’t even a day old and I’ve read somewhere that two-way authentication couldn’t be turned off AFTER 2 weeks. I have seen videos with a “turn off” button in their two-way authentication settings on the official apple website, thought when I tried looking for one with my account there is none. What most annoys me is the fact the it says you cannot turn it off if you already used it when MF they make you use it. Am I stupid or is there something wrong??
