Why can’t I link my new (2nd hand,wiped) Apple Watch 6 with my iPhone 10? It’s saying it needs to have iOS 18 which my iPhone X won’t go higher than iOS 16.7.1, version! And I read it can work with iPhone 6? Please, help. Thanks,

watchOS 10 requires ios 17
watchOS 9 requires ios 16
there is no way around it and you can't downgrade the watchOS on the watch
so if you wish to use the watch you need to get a newer iphone, or get rid of the watch and buy a secondhand watch which is still running watchOS9
