How to pair Apple Watch Series 10 with iPhone 13?

So - my iPhone 13 won’t pair with my new Apple Watch series 10.

the message I get back is I need iOS version 26. I’ve updated my phone to iOS 18.6 which is the latest version.

help please

That watch has a beta version installed. Take it back to the store or wait until iOS 26 is out this fall(the spring in the Southern Hemisphere).
