Why does my deleted folder keep reappearing on my MacBook Air?

I keep getting this folder with a weird folder name back into my trash every time I delete it. Whenever I delete it, I can also see the iCloud sync status updating on the sidebar.

I had the same issue. I use iCloud Drive on my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook. Two folders I deleted kept reappearing. Tried deleting them, force deleting them and deleting them online at iCloud. Nothing worked. I had been trying to do this on my Mac and iPad only + iCloud without success. Then finally, I opened iCloud Drive on my iPhone as well and deleted them on the iPhone. That seems to have worked. Perhaps somehow they weren't deleted in my iPhone. All I know is, so far they've not returned. Could be that if you have multiple devices, that iCloud on one of them may be the cause of this issue.
