I received a scam message when using Facebook on my iPhone
On facebook looking at a home for sale and a pop up showed up
from pr*******.com saying
im guessing this is a scam can u please verify?

Absolutely a scam. Apple would never send a message like this. You can see the message is from priyv......
Close and ignore the pop up.

The timers in some of these scam messages are meant to frighten the recipient into acting without thinking, but are amusing in a way. If someone really was out to destroy your phone's hardware (as other scam messages say), or to divulge personal information just to mess up your life, why wouldn't they do that IMMEDIATELY, instead of giving the victim time to avoid the problem?
And how would the "helpful" people who sent you the "warning" (actually, the CRIMINALS who sent you the SCAM) know about the problem in time to tell you of it, let alone give you a countdown timer that was exact to the second?
My wife got the exact same message several days ago. It’s a scam. The Apple Support article I linked to below offers some great advice about these types of scams.
