Why does the iPhone 16 Pro Max heat up when charging?
is it always normal that newly bought iphone (16 pro max) heats up during charging time?

If the device is fast charging yes.

Thats the way electricity works. Reduce the wattage, and the circuitry and battery do not get near as warm. Fast charging is convenient but heat is an unavoidable byproduct.
