I've been trying to update my Apple information. I no longer have a telephone landline but Apple has my old number for it. When I deleted it, the fields went red and I was asked to enter the Area Code for my phone. It used to be 0131 for the landline but I don't think there is one for the mobile (cell) phone. What should I do?

In the UK, mobile phones have a trunk prefix of 0 (zero) followed by 10 digits.
The area code is the first four digits after the 0.
So if the mobile number is 0 7890 123 456, the area code is 7890.
I don't get bills these day. There appears to be a difference between the USA and the UK on this issue but another poster has answered it. In the example of my (masked) number, 07526 xxxxxx the Area Code is 7526.
Contact your carrier. We have no way of knowing that.
In the U.S., at least, there is no distinction in the area codes between mobile and landline numbers. Phone numbers are just phone numbers.

Yes but the area code is different. For my landline it was 0131. So my international number was +44 0131 xxx xxxx.
My mobile/cell phone number is formatted 0xxxx xxxxxx. I don't know what part is the Area Code.

Seriously, you may not get paper bills, but you get bills. You should be able to log into your account using your favorite device.
Country code is +44...you could have found out that info doing a simple google search...
Someone here did know the answer. I do not expect all members to know the answers to my questions but luck plays a part.
My carrier has an awful website. I've given up on it. When I have a question, I go to the physical shop. The question about the Area Code has been answered.
