iPhone SE (2020) right side of screen not responding to touch

The right side of my screen (around 1cm wide) suddenly stopped responding to touch. The phone has never been dropped or exposed to moisture. Forced restarting and even a full restore didn't fix the issue. Sometimes the screen completely stops working and then starts working again. The phone was fine before updating to iOS 17, and I’ve noticed that many users of this phone are experiencing the same issue. I hope someone here can provide a solution to the problem.

Hello~ Couple things to try…what’s your battery health?

Check the iPhone battery health and usage - Apple Support

If at or under 80% …you need a new battery. Next remove accessories such as case and screen protectors…any change? Then…clean your screen properly…

Hello again ~ There is the possibility that the degraded battery may be swollen and pressing against the touchscreen….which could be dangerous but I can’t say for sure…it needs replacing in order for your iPhone to perform optimally. Also a reduction in power can cause all kinds of issues. Once you make an appointment and have it checked by Apple …your options would be presented and you can make your decision by being fully informed.
