How do you restore a deleted Sticky note?

I have several sticky notes on my Mac. I must have accidentally checked the box in the upper left-hand corner of one of the notes instead of double-clicking the title bar to minimize. How do I restore that deleted Sticky Note?

iMac 27″, macOS 14.6

There is always a confirmation dialog ("Are you sure you want to discard...") asking you to confirm that's what you really want to do before it's discarded for good.

If it did not appear, maybe it's not really gone. Click the Window menu.

Check the Notes app, which is where Stickies reside if you save them: Your Stickies will appear in an “Imported Notes” folder in the Notes application.

Still gone? Did you try restoring a Time Machine backup?
