I logged into my computer this afternoon, after having used it most of the day today, and the Notes app is totally barren. There's one automatically generated note, but no recently deleted notes and nothing in the recycle bin. I found a few files in ~/Containers/com.apple.Notes/Data/Library/Notes/, but I wasn't able to figure it out. Help please? There's nothing critically important, but would be nice to have back. Thanks!

I figured it out. My company pushed a new policy that disallowed using iCloud. I didn't realize my notes were backed up/stored with iCloud. When I logged into iCloud online I found them. I do not have it on any other devices with that Apple ID.
