I’ve just discovered this problem with my IMEI number it’s saying it’s not valid. I’m trying to trade in and can’t because of this.

What is the exact message you're seeing and where?
What model phone?
Where are you trying to trade it in?
Have you contacted your carrier about the issue? If so, what did they say?
Apple IPhone 12 I bought from a boost mobile store inside a gas station and I’m thinking the lady tampered with the phone before giving it to me. But to the point I went on the trade-in option on the website and wanted to see if my phone could get a trade-in value well that’s when I discovered my IMEI number was invalid.
Yes I got ahold of the carrier support and they told me my ImEI was valid. I explained it’s not on my end and they didn’t have much to say then.
