Where is “Select All” in Safari and other browsers?
There is no longer an option to “select all” text from a web page in regular mode and ‘reader mode’. I’ve tried:
- long holding in an empty space
- tapping with one finger twice
- tapping with one finger three times
- selecting a word and dragging the blue selection flags back together then accessing the submenu
- scrolling the submenu with any amount of text already selected
- viewing the ‘share’ menu
- and visiting various websites with different technologies
Still, not able to select all
I have to drag one of the blue selection flags all the way down (or up) the webpage regardless of how long it is and how slow it scrolls while selecting the text.
Even then, it’s not necessarily going to work. A lot of times, when I tap to bring up the menu after selecting all that text (sometimes it doesn’t automatically come up) the selection text disappears and I have to go through it all again.
I know you are able to select all when writing text but I’m talking about a web page.
Am I missing something here? Is there another way to ‘select all’ on a website!?
