The terrifying alert sound on Macbook pro M1

Suddenly, my MacBook Pro M1 emitted a loud, continuous alarm that only stopped when I closed the lid. My laptop is not old, the battery health is still at 96%, and I haven't experienced any issues with the device. Additionally, I don’t use it frequently! What should I do? Any advice?

ref: If your Mac beeps during startup

A SafeBoot Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Does a quick disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled temporarily.

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.

And does it make that sound when you boot into Safe Mode as the others already suggested?

Try running the Apple Diagnostics as well. Do the diagnostics pass or show a failure code? Do you hear that tone while booting into the Apple Diagnostics or while you are on the Startup Options screen while accessing the diagnostics and Safe Mode?

And what is connected to the right side of the laptop in your video? Try disconnecting that cable to see if it makes any difference.

Thank you for your response. The issue happened suddenly while I was not actively using the device. I usually don’t shut it down; I just close the lid. However, the sound occurred unexpectedly, even before I had entered the device password as I normally do when starting to use it.

The sound stopped when I closed the lid, and it hasn’t occurred again since then. I booted the device into Safe Mode, but I didn’t find any alerts, notifications, or indications of a problem. The device appeared to be functioning normally.

As for the video, yes, that is my MacBook Pro in question.
