I'm trying to sync music from my MacBook to my iPad.
Both devices have different music libraries, and I want to add my MacBook's songs to the iPad.
If I sync the music, will it overwrite the iPad's library, replacing its music with the MacBook's songs and deleting the existing tracks on the iPad? Or will it keep the iPad's music and only add the songs from the MacBook?

Getting non-purchased files from the device is a bit hairier than you might be expecting. See this guide by Forum member turingtest2:

If you have the files in some other form, such as an old backup, that would be the easiest way.
