Safari virus alerts leading to McAfee website

when I'm on safari I've been getting these virus alerts about a virus hacking into my iCloud and when I click it goes onto a McAfee website searching it up to see how many viruses I have. But nothing seems to be happening. Is it Fake?

It's fake, and it's harassment. If you do not want to be harassed in that manner read Stop unwanted Notifications - Apple Community for the solution.

It's a scam. A message warning of malware will only be legitimate if it's in response to manually starting a scanner or uploading a file to a website.
