How to set Preview as my default picture viewer?

Want to set Preview as my default picture viewer instead of Ps.

If I click on a picture file, picture.heic, maybe, and do command-i (⌘ - i ), then it brings up the file's info window. It may be pretty big:

The arrow points at a section that says "Open With:" and under that, mine says "GraphicConverter 12.app" I believe Preview is the default choice when you first set up a Mac, but this is an app I use to manipulate picture files. (I use Photos for organizing pictures files.)


If you click whatever yours says, then it opens a list of choices:

and you can pick Preview. Then it closes

and you're given the option to change all files like this one to your new choice for a default opening app.


Since this was an HEIC image, all similar files will open in the new choice. I might have to repeat this for TIFF images or for jpeg's. Just, every time you double click on an image file, and it doesn't open Preview, you can go to the Info window and change that type of file's default open app.
