Issues with “View Full HDR” in iOS 18.1.1 Photos App

Hi everyone,

I’ve noticed a recurring issue after updating to iOS 18.1.1. When I enable the “View Full HDR” feature in the Photos app, my pictures sometimes become pixelated or display overly dark shadow areas. If I turn off “View Full HDR,” the photos return to normal.

I’ve tried basic troubleshooting like restarting my device and ensuring my display settings are correctly configured, but the problem persists.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so:

• Have you found a workaround besides turning off HDR?

• Do you know if Apple has acknowledged this issue or plans to release a fix?

Any help or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.
