How can I achieve middle mouse click functionality on iPad?

Hi all. I have a powerful CAD/Render windows desktop that I use at work. I bought an IPad Pro that I’d like to remote into the windows desktop to and use the CAD programs when not in the office. I can remote into the desktop just fine and my mouse (Logitech MX master 3) works great with the exception of the middle mouse click. I can scroll, but not click, which is essential for most, if not all CAD/Render programs. I’ve spent some time searching but I haven’t found a real answer. How I can get a middle mouse click on an iPad?

Thanks!

iPadOS supports connection of a wireless or wired USB mouse. You should note however that only basic mouse functions are supported - these being basic two-button and scroll-wheel.

More complex mouse functions require installation of appropriate device specific driver-software. iPadOS does not support installation of third-party drivers - unless they are incorporated with a manufacturer-provided compatible App.

To the best of my knowledge, three-button (middle-click) functionality is not natively supported by iPad. As your iPad is the host system to which your mouse is connected, mouse functionality not supported by iPadOS won't be recognised - and therefore cannot be transmitted to the remote computer.

Have you considered using an Apple TrackPad with your iPad instead of the mouse? As the TrackPad is fully supported by iPadOS, this might provide a useable alternative for controlling your remote computer.
