Denied $50 gift card promotion for Black Friday iPhone purchase b/c I had an existing phone plan

Has anyone purchased an iPhone during the Black Friday promotion and received, or been denied, the gift card promotion.

Apple had promotional gift cards for purchased made on 2024 Black Friday. I purchased an iPhone 14 on Black Friday and did not received the gift certificate in email as 2 Apple representatives told me I would receive it. 10 days later a 3rd Apple representative told me the purchase did not qualify for the gift certificate as I had an existing phone plan. I paid for the phone in full and later had to connect to my existing carrier. The exclusion states "iPhones purchased from Apple Store Online during the Promotion Period and that are purchased via ACMI financing, iPhone Payments, or Carrier Financing and carrier-connected iPhones (AT&T, Boost Mobile, Verizon, or T-Mobile), do NOT qualify for this promotion..." This only says if you finance with the carrier AND it is carrier-connected it doesn't qualify. What Apple basically now said to me is that the promotion only applies if you buy a phone that you cannot use with a carrier, which is ridiculous.

I was also denied my $50 Black Friday gift card by Apple. I ordered the phone online and paid the phone outright. Had the phone shipped to the Apple Store for pickup to avoid the Black Friday rush. I was told by the online rep I would qualify for the $50 gift card for my iPhone 14 purchase.

The day before thanksgiving I was shopping at the mall & visited the Apple Store to check on phones. The rep told me to wait until Friday for the $50 Black Friday promotion.

The promotion was confirmed by the online rep when I place the order on Friday. When I picked up the phone on Sat I was again told by the rep that I would receive my $50 Apple gift card in the mail

On Dec 10 2024 I called Apple to inquire about my gift card & told that I would not qualify for any gift card. The customer service agent stated the same policy about already connected to a carrier ( Verizon ) who upgrades to a new phone without already connected to a carrier.

with all the profits reported by Apple how can they blantly misrepresent their seasonal promotions. Why don’t they have their representatives properly trained to explain communicate any or all exclusions.
