Marking a Song as a Favorite Hands-Free with HomePod, etc

It used to be I could say "Hey, Siri I love this song!" and Siri would reply "Ok" and something about remembering I said I liked the song. However, for the last couple of months(?) this doesn't work and instead Siri interrupts the flow, and says "OK, here's a station just for you" and just starts playing a different song entirely and a new "station"! This is infuriating, and I want to know how I can tell Siri I like/favorite a song hands-free with HomePod, etc so I can cook while I listen and mark songs I like.

The exact same thing happens to me now! It's especially infuriating that after it starts the new station, there's no way to go back to find the previous song that you actually wanted to favorite.
