How to track a stolen iPhone 13 Pro Max?

Apple does not get involved with lost or stolen phones, so you know that any communication from "Apple" that says that your phone has been found is a scam that is trying to trick you into revealing your Apple ID and Password or getting you to remove the phone from the list of devices using your Apple ID.

You need to completely ignore any messages like this. Do NOT do what the thieves want you to do.

IF....the battery on the phone has not run down....AND....the phone has not been powered off.....AND....the phone has a good Internet connection where it is located, you will be able to see the location of the phone using Find My.

Of course, iPhone thieves know this so they generally will keep the phone powered off or place the phone in a special bag that will not allow the phone to either send or receive a signal.

To be honest, there is very little chance that you will ever see the phone again, but miracles sometimes occur.

Did you respond to any scam messages that were sent to you?

If you did, you gave the scammers the information that they needed to remove your phone from the list of devices using your Apple ID, which would allow the scammers to remove the Activation Lock on your phone and sell it as a new device.

Or, did you remove the phone from the list of devices using your Apple ID? If you did, the results will be the same. The scammers will have control of your phone in about 30 days.

Log on to Find My and try to cancel the request to remove your phone from the list devices using your Apple ID.

I doubt the text and phone were Apple. The scammers were contacting you and were going to try to get you to remove the iPhone from your Apple Account. Then the scammers would have been able to activate your iPhone.

As it sits now your iPhone is activation locked and virtually of no value to the scammers.
