How to turn off update alert prompt on my Mac running macOS Sonoma?

On Macos Sonoma. No interest in updating to Seqouia. How can I stop this hugely annoying prompt to update, constant red dot in system settings etc?

Been Mac user since before Mac OSX and have never encountered like this.

How? Please?

System Setting >> General >> Software Update >> Automatic Update

Open it

Then turn OFF all the setting therein

Restart the computer

Cautionary note - this may or may not stop the Nagging Alert

As long as the computer Qualifies for the next version of macOS and you do not what to upgrade

Dismiss the alert

The long way around and if the computer has about 14 GB of Space you are prepared to give up?

Manually download the Full Version of Sequoia and let it sit in the Application folder
