Bluetooth dongle on monitor for Mac keyboard and trackpad

I want to connect a bluetooth dongle to a monitor. Several Macbook Pros and MacBook Airs will connect to the monitor with a USB-C connection. Is there a dongle I can use so that whatever MacBook is connected to the monitor can use the apple keyboard and magic trackpad? Is it possible to connect the keyboard and trackpad to the bluetooth dongle? Is there a recommended bluetooth dongle?

A Macbook Pro M4pro and MacBook Air M2 are the primary laptops.

Here is the problem - I am trying to use one apple keyboard and mouse across the 2 devices and never simultaneously (since I will be switching the input port on the display), however I have discovered that this switching isnt seamless via bluetooth - I always have to re-pair the keyboard and mouse thru a cable to switch from 1 device to other - this is very painful. Any solution ideas?

can I set up mac mini m4 without apple mouse?? I am a Windows user buying the Mac mini for the first time. I don't have an Apple mouse. I have a mouse that connects with a USB cable, but that mouse will not work as Apple removed USB-A from the Mac mini m4. Apart from that, I have a mouse that connects with Bluetooth. Can I do the setup of the Mac mini using that mouse? Will I get the option to pair my mouse through Bluetooth before the setup of the Mac mini? And should I go for Apple Mouse? I heard a lot of people criticizing it
