Hello, I'm planning to trade in my iPhone 15 Pro, which I bought in Indonesia, for an iPhone 16 Pro that I will buy in the Apple Store Malaysia. Will it be possible to trade in a phone in another country?

Apple typically will take a phone in trade which was purchased in a different country as long as the phone is in good shape and has been wiped back to the Hello page at the time of trade-in.

Friends who have purchased an iPhone in Mexico are able to trade in their phones at the Apple Store in the U.S., but I cannot tell you what the policy might be in Malaysia.
In my experience, I’ve found them at time region specific, but that may change year to years as various restrictions change.
