Just purchased a subscription to watch a few Christmas movies I wanted.
When I clicked on the movies, it gave me an option to 'Rent' or 'Buy' -
If this is how it is, people should be clearly and transparantly warned - that most of what they want to watch they will have to pay for above and beyond the subscription.

The subscription content and the buy/rent titles are two separate and independent services within one app.

The Apple TV+ content currently features ~65 movies and ~180 TV shows.
The number of movies available in the Store has probably not been officially disclosed since 2012 (45,000), and is presumably a much much larger catalog now. It differs by country though, with the US catalog being the biggest.

Paid subscription to what? Streaming services often have previews or listings of content. For Apple TV+ content, visit tv.apple.com
