Well, I would say that the criticism, in this post, has a point though the expression is a bit rude. It might serve to quantify the outrage this person is feeling.
I also was looking for the missing "answer call" touch bar controls but didn't realize it was Sequoia that took them away.
This was one example of the touch-bar being useful ( from my point of view ). Personally, I was in the process of familiarizing myself and finding more uses for it. For example I often use the sidebar in many different apps, but in the 13" form factor it sometimes gets in the way. Thus, the "hide/show side bar" command is something useful, if within easy reach. I've found that you can add this command on the touch bar instead of learning keyboard shortcuts ( there is no system wide shortcut. cmd-shift- L for Safari, cmd-control-S on other apps. )
"Maps" for me is missing touchbar functionality altogether ( also wanted to add the hide/show side bar button on the touch bar )
So, in conclusion, I think the more general topic of this conversation is, how long would people need to embrace the touch bar? It is now discontinued. So what of the people that have devices with it? Slowly have them let the touch bar go by reducing ( the little ) functionality ( it had ) and move with apple's new ( old ) direction? Or give them the best experience possible, and then risk having them miss that experience when they move to a newer device. I think the second option is best, given the long device update cycle mac users enjoy.
Cheers.
