Plex website log in being blocked

I have a well cared for old Mac Pro that sits in a corner and operates as my Plex server. Never really had a problem with it except for the occasion power on power of cycle.

Recently it decided to stop connecting to Plex. I removed the app, logs, the plist, the cache still nothing. I tried just log in using chrome and safari it said it couldn’t make a secure connection and timed out.

I could log in on every other device in my home including an even older MacBook Air. I tried changing the DNS, and domain search, cleared caches and disable plugins. It still says the server isn’t trusted.

Any help or ideas would be great, I’m beyond frustrated.

Has the Plex servers upgraded TLS requirements, or updated certificates, or is there an expired certificate locally?

etc.

For assistance troubleshooting Plex past this and past the required ports (above), best post this in the Plex support forums: https://forums.plex.tv/

How old is the Mac Pro, and which browser (and which version of that browser) are you using to try and connect?

As others have said, my first thought is a certificate or TLS version issue. Can you use that browser to simply log in to your account at plex.tv, or does that also fail?

My second thought would be, what version of Plex are you running on the Mac Pro, and when was it last updated? might be the issue is with the Plex install itself and its settings or security - especially if you can log into plex.tv from an "even older MacBook Air".
