Apple charges higher than subscription...why?

Lately I've noticed that my card is being charged substantially more than what the subscription is calling for. For example. I was subscribing to Paramount+ on my iPhone. It stated that it's $7.99 a month. After I subscribed, the charge to my account was around $21. What is happening. It's not the first time I've noticed that my card was charged more than what the subscription/purchase was calling for. If this continues or is a new "service fee" I'm quitting apple products.

Apple sometimes combines charges for more than one item in a single billing. This is primarily a user-to-user support forum; other Apple users like you. We don't have access to information about charges to your account. Apple has a support article about charges — see each of the steps in the following instructions. They include information on contacting Apple Support if the other steps don't help. See: If you see 'apple.com/bill' on your billing statement - Apple Support

What do you have showing in both your Purchase History and Subscriptions:

View your purchase history for the App Store and other Apple media services - Apple Support

View or cancel app subscriptions on iPhone - Apple Support

You can post a screenshot if you wish as long as it does not include your Apple ID, and you are likely to find a more precise solution. We are unable to guess on what the charges are for.
