Image Capture issues on Mac running macOS Big Sur

Been using Image Capture now Version 8 since it came out and ya that was decades ago, probably before most of the 'new' staff were even born....

Anyways - now using Big Sur - I plug my iphone into my mac and the app opens then crashes and restarts every 5 secs or so and won't shut off - obviously no longer able to down load photos. Ya and totally not interested in 'sharing' in the cloud for AI to use either. But IF that was the point I guess it will just stay broken

And - Because of the app overriding my iphone I can't access preview as a download option and haven't found a way to delete it.

Fix it Please!

Try deleting the Image Capture .plist preference file in "~/Library/Preferences". It will be named something like: com.apple.imagecapture.plist. Perhaps the Image Capture preferences have gotten corrupted.
